Stuart Baxter has suggested that Bafana Bafana will honour their encounter against Senegal by playing to win the match, despite having already failed in their bid to qualify for World Cup.
South Africa travel to Senegal to face the Lions of Teranga in the second leg of their World Cup qualifying clash, despite already having failed in their bid to book their spot in next year’s global showpiece.
“When one plays for the country, there is nothing like fulfilling the match,” Baxter told reporters.
“There is nothing like rubber matches. We are going to Tuesday’s game intent on winning it, and that is what we will go for,” he concluded.
The two sides clash at the Stade Léopold Sédar Senghor in Dakar, with kick-off set for 21:30.
