Liverpool superstar Sadio Mane insists that Senegal are wary of the threat that Bafana Bafana pose, but maintained that they have a job to do in qualifying for the World Cup.
Mane expressed his delight at being back in the national team fold after recovering from a hamstring injury.
”I’m happy to be back‚ because it was not easy. I have no excuses now. I was hurt‚ but I worked hard to return,” he told reporters.
”I’m ready. It will be difficult because South Africa remains a team to be respected even when they haven’t been getting good results.
”We respect them‚ but we also know that we have the means to achieve a good result there,” he added.
The two teams clash at the Peter Mokaba Stadium on Friday night, with South Africa needing victory in both games to guarantee their spot in next year’s World Cup.
