PUMA and Manchester City launch the Away kit for the 24/25 season. The kit design honours the 25th anniversary of one of the most iconic moments in the club’s history, when City triumphed over Gillingham in the Second Division Play-Off final in 1999.
Manchester City’s history is rich with moments of tenacity and resilience, and the 1999 Play-Off final is a testament to that spirit. Trailing by two goals, City’s determination saw them through to victory on penalties, after Paul Dickov’s dramatic equaliser in the 95th minute took the game into extra time. To celebrate this iconic match, PUMA has brought back a certified classic: a navy-blue jersey featuring neon yellow vertical stripes, with neon yellow and blue detailing on the classic collar and sleeve trims.
Dickov, now a Manchester City Club Ambassador, said: “It’s fantastic to see this year’s Away kit revealed today. The 1999 Play-off final victory remains a special moment for myself and City fans around the world. It’s a wonderful gesture by the club and PUMA to commemorate the anniversary with this year’s Away kit.”
The kit will be available from PUMA Retail stores, PUMA.com, Sportsmans Warehouse, Totalsports and Studio 88 from 15 August. Price R1399 and R1199 for Junior size.
