Son: Kane is the best player in the world

Tottenham Hotspur midfielder Son Heung-min believes that Harry Kane is the best player in the world.

The currently injured English striker has scored 24 Premier League goals this season as he targets a third consecutive Golden Boot.

While Kane has been described by manager Mauricio Pochettino as one of the world’s best strikers, his South-Korean teammate has now gone a step further by rating his team mate above the likes of Lionel Messi and Cristiano Ronaldo.

‘Harry Kane is, of course, a very important player for England because he’s the best player in the world,’ Son told Sky Sports.

‘This is football, so sometimes you get injuries, but as Tottenham we need to play without Harry. It’s very sad but the other players have to be ready.

‘I’m not like Harry, I’m just trying to practice every day, but it’s a good opportunity to make something happen,’ he added on the striker’s current absence.
