The Dutch staged a comeback in the Euro 2024 quarterfinals, with an own goal by Mert Muldur propelling Koeman’s Oranje to a 2-1 victory over Turkiye and into the Euro semi-finals.
The Turkish had brought the game to the Netherlands in the Euro last eight following Samet Akaydin’s 35th minute header to put Turkiye ahead early on. Turkiye threatened to cause an upset after Arda Guler strike was denied by the woodwork.

Ronald Koeman’s Oranje fought back in the second half as Stefan de Vrij levelled the score through a thumping header in 70th minute before Mert Muldur scored in his own goal to prove the difference between the two sides sending the Netherland’s to a emphatic 2-1 victory.
The Netherland’s now face a tough test in Dortmund where they’ll meet England in the Euro 2024 semi-finals on Wednesday.
