Amajibos coach Moleefi Ntseki heaped praise on his sides ‘strong character’ ahead of their clash against Mauritius in the semi-final of the U17 Cosafa Cup on Friday.
The semi-final fixture between the two sides is set to take place at the Stade Saint Francois Xavier, with kick-off scheduled for 13:00.
The South African U17 side made their way into the last four after they defeated Madagascar 5-3 in their final Group B encounter.
The Amajimbos mentor strongly believes that his side can win the encounter with 90 minutes of play if they stick to their strengths.
“I want to firstly congratulate the players for their strong character. We have had our fair share of challenges and they have dealt with situations very well,” Ntseki told Safa.net.
“I know that for many of them this has been a first-time experience and I am really proud of how they have managed to cope.
“We have done our homework on them and believe that we can win the game in open play. We have practiced penalty kicks however, I would prefer for us to win the match in the ninety minutes.
“We will stick to our strengths and ensure that we continue using these matches to reach the objective we have set for ourselves as the technical team.”
Amajimbos against Mauritius kicks off at 13:00.
