Mamelodi Sundowns captain Denis Onyango is expecting a “high- intensity” game when they take on rivals Cape Town City in their opening DStv Premiership fixture on Friday evening.
The Brazilians have been preparing for the new DStv Premiership season over the past three weeks, with their final stage of pre-season prep now completed.
The Tshwane giants will now begin their campaign in the opening game of the new season when they travel to DHL Stadium to take on the Citizens.
But Onyango has already predicted that the Citizens will not be an easy team to beat especially after only snatching two points in two games against City last season.
“It’s going to be a high-intensity game, we will try to get positive results as soon as possible because we know that the season is going to be a tough one. As soon as we get good results, it’s going to be good for the team.”
The match at Cape Town’s DHL Stadium is scheduled to kick off at 7:30pm on Friday evening.
