Cape Town City chairman John Comitis suggested that Lebogang Manyama could be shipped off to Europe before the end of the transfer window amid reported interest from Mamelodi Sundowns.
Manyama was not part of Benni McCarthy’s side that garnered victory against Wits in the first leg of the MTN8 semi-final at Cape Town Stadium on Sunday afternoon, further fuelling speculation that he is set for a move away from the club.
Media reports claim that the 2016-17 PSL Footballer of the Season is on the radar of both Masandawana and Orlando Pirates, but City’s boss Comitis revealed that he wouldn’t be sold to any team in the Absa Premiership.
“I am working on something for Manyama in Europe. There is no local team in the mix,” Comitis told KickOff.
“I am not going to sell Lebo to any local team but overseas,” he concluded.
Turkish club Konyaspor is reportedly the team that the Bafana Bafana international has been negotiation with.
