AmaZulu general manager Lunga Sokhela has revealed that the KZN outfit are not interested in selling Argentinian forward Emiliano Tade.
The 30-year-old is currently enjoying a fine debut season in the Premier Soccer League where he has scored six goals while also providing two assists in his 18 games across all competitions.
His form has seemingly caught the eye of Pitso Mosimane at Mamelodi Sundowns.
The coach of the Chloorkop outfit last week hinted at his interest in a KZN based striker.
‘It would be nice to get a strong one [striker] to add more power when I substitute Brockie.
‘There’s a nice one I like there somewhere in KZN but his coach has already warned me. Teams at this point don’t want to release their players,’ said the former Bafana Bafana coach.
General manager at Usuthu, Sokhela, however, is adamant that the club do not want to sell their star striker.
‘He never mentioned any names (referring to Mosimane). He said there’s a good striker somewhere in KZN. That striker can be at Lamontville Golden Arrows or Maritzburg United.
‘But we haven’t been approached by any team regarding the services of any player. You know, it is a transfer window and it is all about pure speculations. We are not interested in selling him (Tade) in this transfer window.
‘We are not in a position to sell players. Our focus is now on competing for the top eight and the Nedbank Cup. Selling players won’t help our cause,’ concluded Sokhela.
