AmaZulu have confirmed that the club has parted ways with former Kaizer Chiefs forward Camaldine Abraw.
The Togolese international joined Usuthu during the January transfer window on a six-month contract with the option to renew his deal for a further two seasons.
AmaZulu’s team manager Qedi Dlamini confirmed the news of Abraw departure.
“The club had an option to renew the contract of Abraw but we’ve decided not to exercise the option,” Dlamini said.
“We expected goals from him as a striker but that didn’t happened. If he had scored 8 goals we would have seriously considered renewing his contract. We wish him all the best on his future.”
Meanwhile, Dlamini added that the club will be looking to bolster their squad by acquire the services of Orlando Pirates defender Thembela Sikhakhane, who’s loan deal at AmaZulu comes to an end in June.
“The team will return for Pre-Season on the 18th of June. We are still talking to Orlando Pirates about returning the services of Thembela Sikhakhane. Boalefa Pule will be returning to SuperSport United,” he added.
Usuthu have already signed Argentine winger Emiliano Made from New Zealand outfit Auckland City, who will replace Abraw’s at the club.
