AmaZulu have exercised defender Tshepo Gumede’s two-year option in his contract ahead of the 2019-20 season.
The 28-year-old defender joined Usuthu back in February as a free agent after parting ways with Cape Town City.
Since his arrival at the club, Gumede has made a total of six appearances in all competitions during the 2018-19 season.
The club released the following statement on their official Twitter page:
‘AmaZulu FC have exercised a two-year option on Tshepo Gumede’s contract following the 28-year-old defender’s six-month tenure with Usuthu which he signed February this year.#Usuthu_Unite.’
Usuthu have also recently acquired the services of Andre de Jong and Lehlohonolo Majoro as they continue to bolster their squad ahead of the new season.
