Pitso Mosimane says Mamelodi Sundowns’ clash against Barcelona will serve as an indication of the difference in standard between the Absa Premiership and La Liga.
The Absa Premiership champions do duty against the five-time Champions League champions at the FNB Stadium on Wednesday evening and Mosimane is under no illusion regarding the magnitude of the task ahead.
Instead, the former Bafana Bafana mentor is hoping that his side savor the moment in a bid to compare the difference in standards between the two title-winning teams.
“The Barca game is for the guys to get experience, to see how far we are, what’s the difference between us and Barca and what’s the difference between the PSL and La Liga,” he told the club’s official website.
“But for me personally it is about seeing how far our tactics are in comparison to Barca. Off course we aren’t going to stop Barca from playing.
“They score a goal in every 13-14 minutes. I am talking about against Real Madrid, not Mamelodi Sundowns.
“So then you can’t have stress. You are happy to play. You say let’s see how long we can last before the first goal comes,” he added.
The two teams will do battle at 18:00.
