Mike Ngobeni, the agent of Khama Billiat, has revealed that the Mamelodi Sundowns striker is no rush to make a decision about his future.
Billiat’s contract at the Brazilians expires at the end of June and it is widely believed that he could be set to leave the Chloorkop based club.
Downs coach Pitso Mosimane has expressed on a number of occasions his desire to keep the striker at the club and the player camp has now revealed to Soccer Laduma that he is no rush to make a decision.
Ngobeni of M-Sport-Management confirmed that the player’s camp is taking their time in ensuring that they make the best decision for both Billiat and his family.
‘We are not rushing anything because his contract is only ending next month, end of June, so we are not rushing any deal because we have got time to make up our minds and see what’s next for the player. We have to make a bold decision and not an emotional decision you know, there is nothing to be emotional about, we need to make sure that we make a bold decision for Khama and his family and his future,’ Ngobeni said.
Billiat has been linked to a number of South Africa’s top clubs including Bidvest Wits, Orlando Pirates and Kaizer Chiefs, while clubs overseas have also shown interest in his services.
The Zimbabwean has formed an integral part of the Sundowns side which went on to lift a record eighth Absa Premiership trophy, during the 2017/18 campaign.
Billiat has enjoyed a trophy-laden time at the Brazilians, picking up the Caf Champions League and the Caf Super Cup.
