Kaizer Chiefs star Khama Billiat’s agent Michael Ngobeni has shot down allegations directed at the former PSL Footballer of the Year that suggest he has a bad attitude.
Reports emerged this week citing that a source within the Chiefs camp revealed that several players in the team weren’t happy with the former Mamelodi Sundowns star’s attitude.
Billiat’s agent shed light on the situation in a recent interview with Soccer Laduma, calling the allegations against his player ‘hatred’.
‘There is this thing about Khama that he’s got an attitude and is complaining and stuff like that. When I read that article I decided that you know what, “Let me not defend the player just for the sake of defending him but let me interview some of the players he is playing with at his club.”
‘I interviewed three players. I even asked someone else from Chiefs about this thing. This is absolute hatred,’ he said.

‘It is nonsense and a big lie. Every player loves Khama Billiat. Khama Billiat doesn’t even have a record even at Sundowns of being rude. Whoever is doing it from wherever, or maybe it’s just a fan who is just hating, it is wrong. The club [Chiefs] themselves are shocked by this.
‘The player has just been blasted without proper evidence and without asking the club. The player is shocked. I’m not defending Khama but I know him and he’s not like that. Khama Billiat goes along with everyone. He’s someone who’s soft and is smiling with everyone.
‘It’s just like in the situation of [Cristiano] Ronaldo. They always say bad things about him but he just keeps scoring goals. Khama is doing well. He’s helping the club. He’s scoring goals. I am the agent of Khama Billiat and I have to defend him when something wrong is said about him.
‘People mustn’t hurt the boy to this extent and they must just let him go. Khama is happy at Chiefs and Chiefs fans are happy, management is happy and the players are happy with Khama. But Khama knows that someone from somewhere didn’t like whatever happened,’ he concluded.
