New Mamelodi Sundowns coach Miguel Cardoso acknowledged the need for improvement following their 1-0 victory over Stellenbosch in the Betway Premiership, emphasising that there won’t be any drastic changes.
Coach Cardoso’s start to managing Sundowns came with improvements as the team secured their first CAF Champions League win, however with a win against Stellenbosch FC on Wednesday, the Sundowns coach emphasised the need for improvement in a team his predecessor left.
Sundowns played to a hostile Stellenbosch who in the final third couldn’t get their chances converted as Masandawana’s defensive play was to0 aggressive for Steve Barker’s men.
Despite Iqraam Rayner who’s been on form for the Brazlians, his only goal is what divided the two sides at the DHL Stadium. Sundowns have now extended their unbeaten run in the Premiership to four matches.
