Pitso Mosimane admits that former striker Leonardo Castro knows all Mamelodi Sundowns’ tactics suggesting that he could be beneficial for Kaizer Chiefs on Saturday.
Chiefs host Masandawana in an Absa Premiership clash on Saturday night at the FNB Stadium and despite Sundowns sitting at the summit of the table, Mosimane admits that he is wary of Steve Komphela’s side, who won the first clash at Loftus.
“I still have the memories [of the previous match at Loftus]; it is part of football. You can choose which memories you want to remember,” Mosimane said in a press conference.
“Kaizer Chiefs has turned the corner ([ompared to their form earlier in the season]. They have been more consistent.
“Leo [Castro] has moved on. We are generous, Steve is happy. Leo left on a good note. Kaizer Chiefs gave us Lebese,” he added.
The former Bafana Bafana mentor also suggested that new-signing Jeremy Brockie might not face Chiefs.
“Leo knows all our secrets, he travels with a booklet. He probably gave it to Steve.
“The team is ok. We have some players who are not 100 percent in good shape.
“Let’s have goals, if it is a draw, I would rather have it as 3-3 and not 0–0. Itu (Khune) you can rest, Brockie may not start.
‘We did not bring him to put us on top. He found us there. We brought him for the Champions League. Brockie can help us on the continent,” he concluded.
The two teams face-off at 20:15 on Saturday.
