Mahlasela is an exciting winger who will be hoping to make a mark at the club.
“I’m grateful to be here. I believe I can grow and also help the team,” Mahlasela told the Kaizer Chiefs official website.
“This is a dream come true for me and I’m happy that I am part of this big institution. The welcome by the chairman, staff, coaches and teammates has been phenomenal. I am looking forward to engaging with the supporters.”
The 26-year-old spent the past two-and-a-half years with Bloemfontein Celtic before moving to the Soweto-based outfit.
“I am aware of the pressure that comes with playing for Kaizer Chiefs. The only way to repay those who recommended me to the Kaizer Chiefs management and to keep the supporters happy is to work hard and make sure we do well as a team – this way our names will be added to the glorious history of the club,” he added.
“Walking around the offices and seeing the trophies in the cabinet and the professional way the team is run is motivating enough and I will not let anyone down.”
Mahlasela started six matches and came on as a substitute in a further six games for his former club during the first half of the 2017-18 season.
