Kaizer Chiefs and Orlando Pirates will do duty in front of a packed FNB Stadium after Stadium Management South Africa announced that tickets to the Soweto derby were sold out.
There has been somewhat of a decline in fan attendance at the Soweto derby over the past few years, with both teams experiencing their respective trophy droughts.
Giovanni Solinas’ Chiefs outfit occupy third spot in the Absa Premiership standings, while Milutin Sredojevic’s Pirates side are a spot above them in the table
Good news for both teams is that come 27 October, the biggest football fixture in South Africa will be met with an expected 82 000 strong crowd.
