Amakhosi have now stretch their winless run in the Absa Premiership to five games amd find themselves in 13th place in the league standing, and Solinas believes that his side needs to improve defensive after conceding two ‘stupid’ goals.
‘We played very well we had the game under control. We switched off, lost concentration and we conceded two stupid goals. It’s a pity because we lost two points,’ Solinas told SuperSport TV after the game.
‘I’m a little bit [disappointed] because we were leading 2-0 and the game in our pocket. We had every situation under control. Celtic did not create any chances. They were not dangerous. We lost the mentality. We were soft defensively. We need to improve our defensive job.

The Italian mentor added that a change in mentality is needed, but he insists that his side needs time to adapt to his coaching philosophy.
‘In football to change the mentality you need time. It’s not possible to change [the mentality] overnight. So [we] need the time, the training sessions to fix the mistakes. We work hard,’ he added.
Solinas says he is concerned by Amakhosi’s position on the Absa Premiership standings, but insists he’ll shift his focus to their upcoming MTN8 semi-final second leg on Saturday.
‘We need to focus on the next game, this game is gone. [On] Saturday we have a very important game for us,’ he added.
‘The position in the league is not good for a big club like Kaizer Chiefs. We need to improve because this position is not for Kaizer Chiefs.’
Kaizer Chiefs against SuperSport United kicks off at 3pm.
