Kaizer Chiefs attacking midfielder Joseph Molangoane insists that Amakhosi will come back even stronger next season, writes DYLAN APPOLIS.
The 30-year-old walked away with the Man of the Match award after helping Amakhosi claim a 2-1 victory over Ajax Cape Town at Cape Town Stadium to cap their 2017-18 campaign off with a win.
Molangoane believes his side will come back strong during the next campaign as they continue in their bid to claim silverware, having booked their place in the Caf Confederation Cup after ending the campaign in third place in the Absa Premiership standings.
“The three points, it was all we wanted and we got it,” Molangoane said.
“At Chiefs, you must win trophies. It is a team of trophies.
“I could play well but if you don’t bring the silverware for your team then it’s not enough.
“Next season I hope we are going to come back strong and give it our supporters.
“Now we are playing in Caf next season and hopefully, the supporters can appreciate what we gave them this season.”
The Gauteng-born attacker has managed to score two goals and assisted a further five from 25 appearances in all competitions this season.
