Cape Town City chairman John Comitis believes that winger Ayanda Patosi will play a ‘big role’ for the Citizens during the 2018-19 season.
The 25-year-old joined the Citizens in 2017 from Belgium side KSC Lokeren and has since scored six goals and assisted a further five from 25 appearances in all competitions during his first season in the Absa Premiership.
The clubs chairman expects the Bafana Bafana international to step up his game and prove his worth next season.
“That guy, when he is on song we can beat anybody,” Comitis told KickOff.com.
“I think he has got his act together now. He is training in the off-season.
“I am anticipating he will play a big role in the club next season.”
Over the course of his career, Patosi has managed to rack up 192 appearances while scoring 30 goals and creating 40 playing for the likes of ASD Cape Town, KSC Lokeren and Cape Town City.
On an international level, the winger has scored three goals from 12 appearances since making his debut in 2013 under then-coach Gordon Igesund.
