Maritzburg United chairman Farook Kadodia has confirmed that coach Fadlu Davids has extended his stay at the Team of Choice.
Kadodia confirmed the news after their 1-0 defeat to Free State Stars in the Nedbank Cup final at Cape Town Stadium on Saturday evening.
The 36-year-old coach has an impressive 2017-18 campaign with the club, leading the Pietermaritzburg-based outfit to a club record fourth place finish in the Absa Premiership.
The Maritzburg chairman confirmed that Davids has signed a new two-year contract with that club which starts at the beginning of the 2018-19 season.
“No, no [He is not leaving]. Fadlu has signed a new contract for us for a further two years. This happened last week,” Kadodia told IOL.
Meanwhile, Davids addressed the media about his future stating: “I am at Maritzburg [United] next season.”
