SuperSport United defender Morgan Gould believes log leaders Mamelodi Sundowns are the ‘best team’ in the country and continent.
Matsatsantsa currently occupy 10th place in the Absa Premiership standings with 25 points, while the Brazilians sit firmly at the summit of the table with 39 points from 21 games.
Gould says his side will give it their all when they take on Pitso Mosimane’s side, who he considers to be the best in Africa.
“Sundowns is the best in the country and in the continent,” Gould told KickOff.com.
“We just need to do what we need to do and forget about what our situation is, where we are. We need to focus on that game, that’s what we need to really do.
“We have to concentrate on the game and we are going to give it our all. We don’t go to the game and say we want to lose or draw, we want to win.
“The football fraternity is about results and if you don’t get results you are not going to get the glory, the joy and the financial gain.”
The 34-year-old defender say he is looking forward to an entertaining Tshwane derby, declaring there is never a dull moment when the two side’s lock horns.
“You can predict all you want but at the end of the day, football is going to be a winner. It is always interesting when Sundowns and SuperSport play. I mean it’s never been a dull game,” he added.
“I just hope we don’t get one of those man-of-the-matches from someone. Let the game win, don’t let the individual win because this is a game where certain individuals want to win.
“Let it be free-flowing and entertaining for people who want to watch the football.”
The match at Loftus Versfeld Stadium kicks off at 18:00.
