After just missing out on the PSL goalscoring record, Mamelodi Sundowns striker Peter Shalulile says he won’t be satisfied until he breaks Colin Mbesuma’s long-standing record.
The Namibia forward netted his 23rd goal of the season in Downs’ 3-2 victory over Royal AM in the club’s final league game at the Chatsworth Stadium on Monday.
However, try as he might, Shalulile couldn’t bag the goals he needed to equal and or break Mbesuma’s 25-goal record for Kaizer Chiefs in the 2004-05 season.
After the encounter, the striker admitted he won’t be satisfied until he breaks the record.

“It’s just unlucky. He tried to pass it hard but it’s just unlucky. At the end of the day things happen for reasons. Maybe next year I will score more goals,” Shalulile said.
“I just want to say thank you to the support staff, my teammates and all the spectators that supported me. I am grateful.
“I am not satisfied. I am going to keep on fighting. I am going to pass the 25-26 goal mark. That’s what champions do,” he said.
“They set new targets for next year. Set targets every opportunity you get to play.”
