Mamelodi Sundowns forward Percy Tau says he is pleased with the Brazilians recent winning form after claiming a 1-0 win over Maritzburg United on Wednesday.
The Brazilians extended their lead at the top of the Absa Premiership standings to five points after claiming three consecutive wins in the league.
The Bafana Bafana international believes coach Pitso Mosimane is the mastermind behind his side’s recent run of good form.
“Thank you so much. I think we fought very hard. It wasn’t an easy game but we did our work. We’re happy we got the results,” Tau told SuperSport TV after the game.
“They are playing a system that is very difficult to defend [against] but we knew when to attack and when to defend which is something good. We did our analysis very well, credit to the coach and the guys. We did really well.
“I think it’s always good to win our catch-up games. Last season we didn’t do that, so we’re happy that this season we’re doing that. Masandawana are happy today.”
Mamelodi Sundowns will be hoping to extend their winning run when they welcome Bloemfontein Celtic to Loftus Versfeld Stadium on Saturday, with kick-off set for 15:30.
