Bidvest Wits midfielder Xola Mlambo admits that they will have to work their socks off if they are to garner victory against Mamelodi Sundowns in their PSL encounter on Tuesday night.
The Clever Boys head into the encounter on the back of a morale-boosting 1-0 victory against Kaizer Chiefs to book their spot in the final of the Telkom Knockout.
Mlambo repaid Gavin Hunt’s faith in him with a man-of-the-match performance against the Soweto giants, but feels that it will be a whole different ball game.
“We have to respect every opponent that we are facing. I mean, it’s a different ball game,” he told reporters.
“This was a cup game and the one we are going to is a league game. We must have the same approach and fighting spirit.
“Hopefully, Lady Luck will be on our side again. It’s never easy playing teams like Sundowns, Chiefs and [Orlando] Pirates.
“You always have to fight, grind or whatever it takes to get a win,” he concluded.
The two sides clash at the Bidvest Stadium with kickoff set for 19:30.
