Bafana Bafana midfielder Andile Jali has confirmed that he will return to the Absa Premiership to join Kaizer Chiefs after negotiations with former club Orlando Pirates fell through.
The 27-year-old recently appeared on Robert Marawa’s show on SuperSport to publicise his decision to return to South Afriican shores following a four-year-stay in Belgium with KV OOstende.
Pirates and Sundowns were said to be frontrunners for Jali’s signature, however in a bid to put an end to their trophyless spell under the tutelage of Steve Komphela, Chiefs are said to have forked out in the excess of R20-million for the services of the defensive midfielder.

Jali’s agent Mike Makaab spoke to TFG SoccerClub and confirmed that Jali’s contract with the Glamour Boys is effective from 1 June 2018.
‘It is true, Jali has reached an agreement to join Kaizer Chiefs after negotiations with former team Orlando Pirates fell through.
The midfielder was a bit cut up about his move to Pirates falling through, but he is looking forward to the challenge of playing for Chiefs,’ he added.
Jali penned a three-year-deal with Chiefs, with an option to extend his stay by another year.
