Kaizer Chiefs are amongst the Absa Premiership teams in the running for Bafana Bafana midfielder Andile Jali’s signature, according to the players’s agent Mike Makaab.
The former Orlando Pirates midfielder confirmed that he parted ways with KV Oostende by mutual consent following a three-year stay in Belgium, paving a return to the Absa Premiership, something he confirmed on Robert Marawa’s television show in May.
Jali’s agent confirmed that Chiefs, Pirates and Mamelodi Sundowns are all in he running for his client’s signature.
“Obviously there are a number of clubs that have shown interest and Chiefs are one of them,” he told the Sowetan.
“But I can categorically state that he has not signed any pre-contract agreement with any club, at home or abroad,” he added.
Makaab maintained that Jali is yet to put pen-to-paper, but suggested that the 28-year-old will know his new team in the coming days.
The Prosport International boss will map a way forward with his client in the coming days.
“I will meet with Andile to discuss the way forward. Again, we are not ruling out the possibility of returning to Europe.
“Everything that we do has to make sense from the point of view of his career.
“He has a family now and, whatever his decision, he has to take them into consideration.
“The decision he will make is different from the one he would make five years ago when he left for Europe,” he concluded.
