Black Leopards chairman David Thidiela has confirmed that Dylan Kerr has resigned from his position at the club despite fulfilling his mandate of guiding the club to Absa Premiership survival.

The Englishman came into the Limpopo based club and had an immediate impact as the teams fortunes took a turn resulting in the coach winning the Coach of the Month award for the December/January block, becoming the first Leopards coach in 10 years to win the accolade.

Things, however, did not continue in that vain as a run of poor form saw them sucked back into the relegation battle. Leopards, however beat Cape Town City 1-0 on the final day of the season to ensure their saftey

After all his hard word the Englishman was beginning to form a strong name form himself but it has been revealed that former Leeds United player has decided to seek a new challenge elsewhere after resigning from his post for undisclosed reasons before returning to the United Kingdom.

Leopards chairman Thidiela confirmed the developments to Lim Sports: ‘Yes, he has sent his resignation letter, but as a team, we are closed for the season now, but we will sit down and release an official statement on the way forward.’

Leopards will now be in the market for a new coach, while it is believed that Kerr has attracted attention from a number of other PSL clubs.
