Bafana Bafana forward Phakamani Mahlambi says he has no intentions of leaving Egyptian giants Al Ahly.
The 20-year-old was linked with a move away from the Egyptian giants during the January transfer window, but opted to remain at the club.
Mahlambi says he enjoys playing at Africa’s biggest club and he has made it clear that he wants to remain at the club and continue his development.
‘I am happy to feature against Tanta because this means I am clearly in the technical staff’s interests,’ Mahlambi told Al Ahly’s official website.
‘I put in a lot of effort in training and the matches to prove myself. The coach is always talking to me and is seriously seeking to guide me to reach my best.
‘Hossam El-Badry told me more than once that he is insisting on developing my performances to benefit from my abilities.’
He added: ‘Recently I joined the national team as an Al Ahly player and I seek to represent the team in the upcoming period to prove my abilities.’
‘I have no intention of leaving Al Ahly. I enjoy playing at Africa’s biggest club and I am happy to be with my teammates and the fans.’
The former Bidvest Wits forward has already made 12 appearances for Ahly, scored once one and assisted a further five goals, while helping his side claim the Egyptian Premier League title.
