Egyptian giants Al Ahly have reportedly agreed to sell Phakamani Mahlambi to Absa Premiership champions Mamelodi Sundowns.
Masadawana’s pursuit of the 20-year-old has been well publicised over the last month with Mahlambi’s club Al Ahly slapping a €2-million price tag on the players while also admitting that the Bafana Bafana star wanted to leave the club.

Mosimane then admitted that they were interested in Mahlambi, but probably wouldn’t be able to afford him.
The Downs coach was then asked on Thursday if the club were looking to bring in any reinforcments before the South African transfer window shuts on August 31st.
The coach responded that they were looking to bring maybe one player ‘back home’, suggesting that it was no secret who they were pursuing and that it would be announced soon.

According to El-Ahly.com, the club has agreed for the transfer of the 20-year-old.
The same report suggests that Downss will pay $900,000 for the deal, with Bidvest Wits receiving 300,000 and the Egyptian club receiving $600,000.
The Bafana Bafan star joined Al Ahly from Bidvest Wits in 2017. He, however, failed to hold down a regular spot in the side, making only 15 appearances for the club.
Sundowns are yet to confirm the transfer, but an announcement seems imminent with the South Africa transfer window slamming shut at midnight on August the 31st.
