Maritzburg United have confirmed the arrival of Thabiso Kutumela from Orlando Pirates and Cape Town City duo Mpho Masti and Judas Moseamedi as they push for Absa Premiership survival.
The Team of Choice sit rock bottom of the league standings and after brining in Mushin Ertugral, following the sacking of Fadlu Davids, they have now brought in three reinforcements to help in their push for survival.
The Kutumela deal is one that has looked to be in the pipeline for some time after media outlets reported on the speculation that an agreement would be made between Pirates and the 2017/18 Nedbank Cup finalists. Some outlets have also suggested that the transfer could include a player going in the opposite direction, but the club are yet to confirm this.
The 25-year-old forward, who spent an underwhelming two-and-a-half years at the Soweto giants, will add some much need fire power for Ertugral.

With Maritzburg having only scored a measly six goals in 16 Absa Premiership matches, Kutumela’s arrival, as well as that of Moseamedi on loan, who was recalled from his loan at Free State Stars before being shipped to the Pietermaritzurg outfit from Cape Town City, will provide the club with not only options but also competition for places.
29-year-old defensive midfielder Matsi, who also joined on loan, on the other hand could well be a pre-emptive move as rumours continue to swirly around the future of prized central midfielder Fortune Makaringe, who has been linked with a January move away from the club.
Ertugral’s team will next be in action when the come up against fellow basement dwellers Chippa United on Saturday in what promises to be a six-pointer.
