Orlando Pirates coach Milutin Sredojevic and Maritzburg United’s Siphesile Ndlovu were awarded the Coach and Player of the Month for January respectively.
Barring a 3-0 drubbing at the hands of Ajax Cape Town, Pirates enjoyed a fruitful January, picking up 13 points from a possible 18 garnering victories against Baroka, Mamelodi Sundowns, Platinum Stars and Maritzburg United.
Ndlovu secured his first PSL gong following impressive displays for The Team of Choice, which included creating all three assists in his side’s 3-0 demolition of Free State Stars.
The 21-year-old beat off competition from Orlando Pirates winger Luvuyo Memela, Kaizer Chiefs defender Daniel Cardoso and Bidvest Wits captain Thulani Hlatshwayo.
Sundowns hardman, Tiyani Mabunda picked up the award for Goal of the Month for his venomous strike in the 4-1 victory against Bloemfontein Celtic.
