Cape Town City right back Thamsanqa Mkhize believes his side success during the 2016-17 campaign came down to having a winning mentality.
The 28-year-old helped his side finished third in the Absa Premiership during the 2016-17 season and played his part in securing the Telkom Knockout Cup trophy within the first six months of the clubs existence.
The Cape Town-based side also managed to qualify for the 2017-18 edition of the Caf Confederation Cup.
Mkhize, who scored one goal and assisted a further one from 24 appearances in all competitions this campaign, admits that the side from the Mother City heads into every match with a positive and winning mentality.
“Each and Ewe play, we play with the intention of winning,” Mkhize said.
Over the course of his career, Mkhize has netted a total of two goals and assisted a further ten, while racking up 120 appearances in all competitions playing for the likes of Golden Arrows, Maritzburg United and Cape Town City.
