Cape Town City have extended the contract of midfielder Thato Mokeke following his contributions during the 2018-19 season.
The Mother City-based club announced that the former SuperSport United midfielder has put pen to paper on a new three-year deal.
The 29-year-old enjoyed a successful second half to the 2018-19 campaign, in which he scored one goal and made 17 appearances across all competitions following his arrival from Chippa United.
The versatile midfielder will now face stiff competition for a starting berth during the new campaign as Thabo Nodada and Roland Putsche return from injury.
‘Cape Town City is pleased to announce that Thato Mokeke has signed a new three-year contract that will keep him with the Citizens until 2022!’ City confirmed in a statement.
