The Brazilians claimed the first-ever Shell Helix Cup after securing a 2-1 victory over Amakhosi at the FNB Stadium after goals by Themba Zwane and Jeremy Brockie cancelled out Bernard Parker’s late goal.
Mosimane says he is delighted with his side’s performance while reserving special praise for Anthony Laffor and debutant Sphelele Mkhulise.
‘I’m very impressed with the discipline and the tactical organisation on the game. I’m happy for the guys who have not been playing to get an opportunity,’ Mosimane told SABC TV after the match.
‘Especially for Anthony Laffor, we have been waiting for him, [he is] an important player. He looked revived. I’m [also] happy for our youngster who comes from the academy, Sphelele [Mkhulise]. He’s a very good player, on the starting lineup, [he was] not afraid.’
