Mamelodi Sundowns coach Pitso Mosimane insists that midfielder Tiyani Mabunda will be fined after his dismissal against Kaizer Chiefs on Tuesday.
The 29-year-old was shown his marching orders at Loftus Versfeld for a second bookable offence after his challenge on Joseph Molangoane.
Mosimane confirmed that the midfielder will be fined for his actions, stating that Mabunda is a Bafana Bafana representative and he should be showing more professionalism.
“He was a little bit careless. It’s unacceptable going for the second yellow card,” Mosimane said after the match.
“It doesn’t matter what happened to Khama on the line. He has to control his emotions. He is a professional. He is a Bafana Bafana player, he can’t lose his emotions. I will fine him for it, it’s unacceptable.”
The Bafana Bafana international is now set to serve a two-game ban and is expected to miss Sundowns’ upcoming clashes against AmaZulu and Chippa United respectively.
Mamelodi Sundowns will be hoping to bounce back when they take on AmaZulu at the Lucas Moripe Stadium on Saturday, with kick-off set for 20:15.
