Kaizer Chiefs chairman Kaizer Motaung has revealed that the club is awaiting a decision from Fifa regarding Andriamirado ‘Dax’ Andrianarimanana’s future.
Dax was announced by Amakhosi at the end of June after his impressive showing in the Cosafa Cup in Polokwane this year.

However, Chiefs have been in an ongoing battle with his former club Fosa Juniors regarding his signature.
The Glamour Boys have since reported the matter to Fifa, declaring that Dax has an amateur contract with his former club which makes him a free agent to join a club of his choosing.
‘First and foremost, he [Dax] has got no contract. He is an amateur, so to speak, but he doesn’t have a contract with the Madagascan team,’ Motaung told the media.

‘We made an offer to them because they are entitled to compensation, but obviously somebody saw an opportunity to try to bring some lotto figures to catch him.
‘Unfortunately, we couldn’t come to a final agreement, hence we had to go to Fifa for intervention. But, otherwise, he’s confident he doesn’t have a contract.
‘The contract that he had, expired almost eight or 10 months ago but it’s also an amateur contract, so they cannot withhold his move to elsewhere in the world if he wants to move.
‘He’s training with us, he’s fit now and ready to play. The only thing we’re awaiting is the decision from Fifa. He can play [immediately], he’s free – he’s not contracted to anyone. He’s [technically] a free agent.’
Kaizer Chiefs will next take on Cape Town City on 15 September when the Absa Premiership returns following the conclusion of the Fifa international break.
