Orlando Pirates co-coach Mandla Ncikazi has revealed they didn’t change their approach to the game – the only difference was taking their chances against Maritzburg United.
The Buccaneers return to winning ways and ended their four-game winless run in the DStv Premiership after they cruised to a comfortable 4-1 win over the Team of Choice on Tuesday.

Despite the huge victory, Ncikazi’s side still remain in sixth place in the DStv Premiership standings with 43 points, three behind Royal AM and four behind Kaizer Chiefs and Stellenbosch FC, with two games in hand.
“Let’s thank the players for the win from the situation we’re coming from, I saw a confident team,” Ncikazi told SuperSport TV in his post-match media conference.
“My only concern is that we could have scored more, that’s the area you wish. If you get all these opportunities that come your way, score them, without sounding ungrateful.
“But having said that, we won the match, we got the three points, that’s important for me today.
“Nothing was different in how we approached the game, the only difference was that today we took the chances that we created, differently from other matches.
“Today we scored and in other matches we don’t. I thought that was the only difference.”
