Orlando Pirates coach Milutin Sredojevic is hoping his side can return to winning ways when they take on Maritzburg United on Saturday.
The Buccaneers stalled in fourth place in the Absa Premiership standing with 30 points after succumbing to a 3-0 defeat at the hands of Ajax Cape Town on Wednesday.
Sredojevic says he is not giving up on the prospect of finishing ‘close to the top’ of the PSL standings, with 11 games remaining this campaign.
“Personally, as a person who never gives up, we shall as a team, with the badge we are carrying and out of respect to our supporters, up to the last moment, push on and look forward towards where we are supposed to be – close to the top, and on the top,” Sredojevic said.
The Serbian coach says his side have turned their attending to their upcoming clash against the Team of Choice in the hoping of walking away with all three points at home.
“We are already focusing now on Saturday’s match against Maritzburg,” he added.
“We need to find a way to recover the team as it’s our third match in seven days, but a match where we need to show our character, measure our values, pull up our socks and our sleeves to show what we are made from.
“It happens that on some days you don’t succeed, but now we are looking towards the upcoming game against Maritzburg.”
The match at the Orlando Stadium kicks off at 20:15.
