Orlando Pirates coach Milutin Sredojevic believes his side have a problem converting their chances, but is pleased with there overall performances.
The Buccaneers currently occupy third place in the Absa Premiership standings after claiming 14 points from their opening nine matches in the league so far this campaign.
Sredojevic believes his side have the capability of threatening in attack, but have to improve on converting the chances they create in the final third.
“There are many teams that have the ambition to be at the top of this league and as far as I know, we have very good colleagues,” Sredojevic told KickOff.com.
“Most of those teams have a plan of 10-12 points per set. Yes, we got 11 points from the first set. We have entered into something that any team can experience. We don’t have a problem with performance and creating chances, but we have a problem of converting.
“In a way, we are convinced that the performances we have produced will lead to a breakthrough. We have to be confident and the goals will come. With that we will be able to reclaim what we have lost in this set.”
Orlando Pirates will now turn their attention to the Telkom Knockout Cup when they take on Golden Arrows at the Princess Magogo Stadium on Saturday, with kick-off scheduled for 15:30.
