Orlando Pirates have officially confirmed the signing of six new players to their roster as they continue to bolster their squad ahead of the 2019-20 season.
The Soweto giants welcomed the likes of Bloemfontein Celtic trio Kabelo Dlamini, Bongani Sam and Tshegofatso Mabasa, Maritzburg United duo Siphesihle Ndlovu and Fortune Makaringe and Chippa United’s Tebogo Tlolane to bolster their squad for the new season.
While Pirates have strengthened their squad for the new campaign, they have also released several players in recent weeks, including Thabo Matlaba, Gladwin Shitolo, Phetso Maphanga, Diamond Thopola and Caio Marcelo to Absa Premiership outfit Chippa United.
The club can also confirm that the following players have been placed on the transfer list: Mpho Makola and Meshack Maphangule, while defender Thembela Sikhakhane will be going back to Amazulu on loan for yet another season.
Following the announcement of French goalkeeper Joris Delle earlier today, the Buccaneers have since unveiled six more signings to their squad.
‘Orlando Pirates Football Club is delighted to announce the signings of Kabelo Dlamini, Bongani Sam, Fortune Makaringe, Siphesihle Ndlovu, Tebogo Tlolane and Tshegofatso Mabasa,’ Pirates confirmed on their official website.
‘All players underwent medicals last week with the rest of the squad to establish their readiness for the pre-season schedule that the technical team has prepared.
‘Strengthening of the squad has been the number one priority for the administrative office in anticipation of yet another gruelling season.
‘The six players will start training with the team as pre-season officially kicks off this afternoon.’
