Orlando Pirates have completed the signing of reigning Zambian Footballer of the Year Augustine Mulenga from Zanaco FC on a three year deal.
Following the capture of Xola Mlambo from Bidvest Wits, the Soweto giants have further bolstered their squad with the arrival of the 28-year-old man who can play on the wing or upfront.
Club administrative officer Floyd Mbele confirmed details of the move on the club’s official website and also thanked the Zambian champions for their professionalism during negotiaions.
“We are delighted to have finally secured the services of Augustine,” he said on the site.
“He is an accomplished player who has all the qualities to make an immediate impact at the club. I would like to thank Zanaco management for their professionalism during negotiations,” he concluded.
Mulenga is expected to rrive at Parktown to link up with his new teammates next week after his participation in the 2018 CHAN tournament in Morocco where he finished as Zambia’s top goal scorer in the competition.
