Mamelodi Sundowns coach Pitso Mosimane has urged Bafana Bafana to give it their all in their must-win World Cup qualifier against Burkina Faso on Saturday.
South Africa need to win their remaining matches against Burkina Faso and Senegal, and hope that Cape Verde drop points to stand any chance of securing a berth at Russia 2018.
The reigning Caf Coach of the Year shared his sentiments regarding Bafana’s precarious position.
“In football anything is possible and I have seen things happening, especially when the chips are down,” he told his club’s official website.
“We are an amazing football nation and we have done amazing stuff in football.
“We have a very good team to take us beyond World Cup qualifiers. We need to use this programme seriously to build for Caf Cup Of Nations qualifiers. We should not be short-sighted and have short-term vision like we always do.
“We have to give our best on this programme, but also not dismantle everything in case we don’t qualify. Patience, lack of fear, and belief are what we need,” he concluded.
