With two games remaining until the end of the 2019-20 season, Mamelodi Sundowns will do battle with Polokwane City in a must-win Absa Premiership clash at Loftus Versfeld Stadium on Wednesday.
Masandawana will travel to Loftus with the aim of picking up maximum points, while Rise and Shine will be keen to salvage their PSL status.
Pitso Mosimane’s side have already played seven games since the resumption of football and have recorded two wins, three draws and two wins, while Polokwane are yet to register their first win in the bio-bubble.
Sundowns currently occupy second place in the league standings with the same number of points as log leaders Kaizer Chiefs, while Rise and Shine sit at the foot of the table with 25 points and have two games left until the end of the season.
The last time these two sides met the Brazilians came out on top with a one-goal victory courtesy of Sibusiso Vilakazi. However, Polokwane have gotten the better of Masandawana on two occasions in the past seven clashes between the two sides and have only lost three times.
The match between Polokwane City and Mamelodi Sundowns is set to take place at at Loftus Versfeld, with kick-off set for 6pm.
