Mamelodi Sundowns forward Percy Tau’s case for exceeding the speed limit earlier this month has been postponed to the first week in July, according to the South African Police Services.
The Bafana Bafana international was stopped by officials in Limpopo earlier this month doing 170km/h instead of the maximum limit of 120km/h.
SAPS released a statement on Tuesday regarding the 23-year-old’s case, which is set for 7th July.
”A Mamelodi Sundowns player, Percy Tau, aged 23, was stopped by the provincial traffic officers in his White VW Polo at the N1 Road next to the Nyl Plaza tollgate for exceeding (the) speed limit on the 3 June 2017 at 18:03,” the statement said.
”Tau was travelling (at) 170km/h instead of the maximum speed limit of 120km/h. He paid R1000 bail at Mokopane Police Station and appeared at Mokopane Regional Court on the 15 June 2017.
‘His case was then postponed to 7 July 2017,” the statement concluded.
