Mamelodi Sundowns forward Toni Silva looks set to leave the Chloorkop based club after just half a season in the Premier Soccer League.
The former Liverpool and Chelsea academy player was expected to help fill the role of Khama Billiat and Percy Tau, who both departed Downs at the end of last season.
The 25-year-old, however, has struggled to break into the starting 11 despite a good start to his time at the club where he was used both as a number nine and as a wide man as Pitso Mosimane searched for his ideal position
According to a report by KickOff.com the player from Equatorial Guinea has received an offer from an unmade Egyptian club and could leabe the club at anytime as negotiations are at an advanced stage.
‘Toni Silva is leaving Sundowns after he received an offer from Egypt,’ a source said.
Mosimane also confirmed to the media that the player has asked the club for the move to be sanctioned, allowing him to move abroad.
Silva has made just 11 appearances for Sundowns, scoring just the two goals. He has also not played since November and his exit is unlikely to affect the side who have an abundance of attacking talent on their books.
