In what can be described as a turn of events, Mamelodi Sundowns midfielder Andile Jali has opened up a case of assault against his wife Nonhle Ndala.
The Bafana Bafana international was said to have spent the night in jail for his involvement in an alleged domestic violence incident.
Jali appeared in a Hatfield court on Tuesday morning where he was granted bail and now face charges of assault relating to domestic violence and damage to property.
The incident reportedly involved his wife and took place in the early hours of Monday at his home in Pretoria and the 28-year-old was subsequently arrested and taken to Boschkop Police Station.
The 28-year-old, however laid a charge of assault against his wife with Boschkop police station spokesperson Yeroboam Mbatsane publicising these details.
‘He reported assault and now I am looking for her. We will arrest her when we find her‚’ Mbatsane told TimesLive.
The spokesperson also confirmed that Jali was not charged for assault. His arrest was related to domestic violence and malicious damage to property after the former Orlando Pirates star damaged his wife’s car.
