Mamelodi Sundowns forward Percy Tau says he is delighted with his teammate’s current scoring form following their 4-1 victory over Bloemfontein Celtic on Saturday.
The Brazilians maintain their position at the top of the Absa Premiership standings with 28 points and have now extended their unbeaten run in the league to seven matches.
Following his Man of the Match performance against Celtic, Tau says he is proud of his side’s performance on the day.
“I think we did very well. We controlled the game,” Tau told SuperSport TV after the game.
“It was a difficult game from the one we played against Maritzburg (in midweek which we won 1-0), but I know we did well with the demands of the game.
“It is always difficult to play so many games in such a short time, but I am very proud of the guys.
“I always try and contribute to the team. It is not always the group performance, but it is about what you contribute to the team.
“Sometimes it is defending, sometimes it is attacking or assisting. I’m always happy to see myself getting better and the guys are also scoring.”
Mamelodi Sundowns will be hoping to extend their unbeaten run when they welcome Cape Town City to Loftus Versfeld Stadium on Tuesday, with kick-off set for 19:30.
