Kaizer Chiefs forward Dumisani Zuma says he is looking forward to scoring more goals to improve Amakhosi’s chances of walking away with silverware this season.
The 22-year-old has already made 11 appearances for Steve Komphela’s side this campaign and also netted his first goal for the club when he scored the winning goal against Ajax Cape Town on 16 December.
With the arrival of Leonardo Castro, Zuma is determined to work even hard to add to his goal telly while also helping Amakhosi in their bid to claim silverware this campaign.
“I will continue working hard. I want to keep scoring to improve the chances of us lifting trophies,” Zuma told his club’s official website.
“I want to thank the supporters for pushing us to the limit. I also wish that everybody has a safe and enjoyable festive season.
“It started with George Maluleka’s pass to Gustavo Paez. I was in an awkward position, but I saw their goalie was off his line and I decided to take a shot. That’s how I scored.
“I was so happy when I saw the net rattled. I got lost in the excitement and only realised what the goal meant to the supporters when I saw the recordings afterwards.”
Kaizer Chiefs will go head-to-head with SuperSport United at the Mbombela Stadium when the Absa Premiership returns on 6 January 2018.
